About FireBird:
FireBird is an Militaristic Fantasy SciFi story; based around the character Raven Shadowhawk.
The comic is rated Web 14 for violence.

Setting

FireBird takes place in Naval Year 186 in distant Andromeda; in the fictional Hellfire Spiral, so named because it is surrounded by many huge suns, keeping out the prying eyes of outsiders.
Though there are over twenty habitable planets, the galaxy is divided into two distinct empires; the Titan Empire and the Astonian Reign.
One hundred and eighty-six years ago, the Titan Empire was ruled by the Astonia countries; but a cival war had broken out several years ago on Astonia between the commoners and the ruling castes, diverting military forces away from Titan back to Aston to crush the rebellion.
But with the lack of Astonia's eye watching over them continually, the Titan forces gathered on Titan 3 and set out to lay siege upon Notaru, a small planet on the edge of the star Aston's planet belt.
The Astonians were furious with the Titans with this act of rebellion, and quickly laid waste to the small force that held the planet.
It became clear to the Titans that Aston was by far the better army when it came to land combat; and while the Astonian space fleet was at full wartime sizes, Aston lacked the pilots skilled enough to fly them into combat with any purpose.
But while Titan's fleet was very small, barely a defense force; they had highly skilled pilots, who were much more comfortably with flying; due to the fact that 90% of Titan's population had been working as pilots for hundreds of years, transporting many different substances from the resource-rich Titan planets.
The Astonians were not near as comfortable in space, even in atmousphere; they had a natural fear of flight, a phobia that the Titans did not have.
But without ships to fly, even the best pilot is nothing.
Enter Jack Lancer.
Jack Lancer was galaxy-known for his ground-breaking starships designs and inovations. He had invented plasma shields and helped create the Star Compass, which catupulted the space industry into lightspeed. He also owned the famous Aston Drive Yards, the most productive ship building company in the universe.
And while Jack lived on Aston, his home planet was none other than - Titan 1.
One year after the siege on Notaru, Jack approached the Titans, not only with a fleet of three hundred capital ships, but also with a revolutionary new engine design that would prove the determining factor for Titan's victory: the Plasma Crystal Ram Jet.
With the PCRJ engine, Titan's ships were able to reach much higher speeds, and produce much more energy to power the guns and shields with; Aston's magnificent fleet was now obsolete.
Two years later, Titan obtained a complete victory over Astonia; destroying over half their remaining fleet in one battle over the skies of Titan 3, which was destroyed in the battle, but it is agreed by every Titinian today that the loss of the small planet was insignificant when compared to the great freedom they obtained.
The Titan Empire is now the greatest ruling faction in the galaxy; feared by all, and challenged by none.

Prelude
In Naval Year 186, unbeknownst to most citizens of the galaxy, Astonia is growning restless.
The once-dominant empire is becoming tired with Titan's rule over them.
They ruled over Titan for thousands of years, and in two short years that reign ended; leaving the Astonian Reign five planets smaller, and with a fleet that had been reduced from over a thousand ships to twenty rusting wrecks. They built ships for Titan now.
Ships. Machines. Robots. Resources.
All they made belonged to Titan.
Those were the terms of surrender laid down one hundred and eighty-six years ago.
There is one way out of this. And that is to use the Titans own weapon against them.
The PlanetKiller.
The weapon that the even Titans feared to use.
The people of Titan 5 knew of the weapon the Astonians spoke of.
But they were gone.
The people of the universe woke up one morning and Titan 5 was gone.
Everyone, everthing; it was like it was never there.
Victim of the Planetkiller. Astonia would find it; and then the Titans would be sorry.
