-FAQ-

What is FireBird?
FireBird is a once-a-week running webcomic of the Sci-Fi/ Fanyasy genre.

How many races are there in FireBird?
Eight. Demons, Elves, Dragons, Humans, Devarnians, Astonians, Cataarrii, and Kilan.

Does Earth exist in this story?
Yes, and no. The year is only 2010, but Earth is a very different place in this dimension. It is space-locked, meaning they have no means of space travel; and have very little, almost none, if fact, contact with the other planets. Other races are still looked at as hostile and alien.

What is with the different stripes on the Demon's faces?
They have much meaning, and they are very important to show rank. Color symbolizes power- in order from weakest to strongest: white, lavender, green, blue, yellow, purple, and red. Black is stronger than all the others but only two Demons have ever been black-striped in all of history. The number of stripes also has meaning. One stripe shows a common birth, two is an upper-class family, and three is royalty. Body stripes are different than face stripes; and have no meaning. They may not even match the face striping at all.

Aren't Skye's stripes black?
Actually, his stripes are very dark red.

Why do Raven's stripes change color so much?
A Demon's stripes darken and change for their first 30 years; generally darkening and/ or increasing in number. As a child, Raven's were yellow, darkening to purple in his late teens. They will stop changing when he is about 30. A Demon's eye color changes as well; when a Demon is born, their eyes are always blue. It is an extreme rarity for them to remain that color. They usually change around the same time the stripes do.

Is Raven mentally stable, or can you just not write?
Raven isn't mentally stable. After the accident that got him pulled from the test pilot condition, he failed almost every psychologic test he was required to take. He showed self-destructive, and boderline suicidal tendacies. He is recovered somewhat; but he is still rather tipsy mentally.
